"Shut up." It's not a no and he doesn't elaborate either. Yes, he's curious, but Jade must know that anyway. He's not going to make him smirk by proving him right. Instead he quickly leads the way through the rest of the shop, no longer taking the time to investigate when something looks interesting to him.

When they finally arrive at the counter, he feels oddly tired. The night before, now this little adventure and learning that Jade knows more than he lets on ... there'll be dinner to prepare, at the very least, but maybe he can take a short nap on their way home. He's drained and he'll need a bit more energy for the rest of the day.

Taking a step back, he hides behind Jade, looking down. He doesn't want to talk to the cashier, that's for sure.
