The "no" makes Irvin whine sadly, dropping down to his haunches and looking up at Shinjirou. Jade tucks the book back under his arm, leaning forward to sample the food. As expected, it's delicious, and Jade doesn't bother pretending otherwise.

"I can see why Irvin wants some." The dog still looks hopeful, his tail wagging slowly. Mostly, Jade is pleased that things seemed to have settled down. "I'll leave you two to it. Bring it to my study when you're done; I have work to catch up on."
