"Come on, calm down." Though he feels awkward doing so, he rubs Irvin's back, hugging the dog. It's the first time since he let Irvin mount him and a dark heaviness sinks into his stomach when he realizes that he still enjoys cuddling Irvin. The warmth, a heart beat below the thick fur and knowing that Irvin likes him -- he should shove him away, that'd be normal.
