Irvin's growl is loud enough to be heard over the phone. He's normally a well-behaved dog; Jade's suspicions rise, only for Shinjirou to confirm them scant seconds later.

Ah. This could be problematic.

"It's alright," he says aloud, though it's anything but. "I'm on my way home. I apologize for the short notice, but I have a guest with me. We should be arriving in a few minutes. Just stay where you are, and don't do anything rash."

The last thing he needs is for Shinjirou to hurt himself. He has enough problems without adding to them. His associate is already glancing at him, a silent question on his face. Jade shakes his head slightly.
