Without much to do in the kitchen except do the dishes quickly, he ends up on the sofa, lying on his belly as he reads in the book Jade gave him. He's not the fastest reader and barely past the first chapter. Noticing Jade, he sits up and sets the book aside.

"That was fast." He pours the sake into their cups, then hands one over to Jade. "Huh. You don't look pissed anymore. That's good, right?"
