Tired as he is, he simply finds comfort in knowing that Jade has better things to do than pay close attention to him. He drinks his tea in peace and silently puts the cup on the nightstand beside Jade's bed when he's finished, trying not to disturb him, and then crawls back under the sheets.

Facing the wall, he curls up on his side and closes his eyes. Sleep, finally, overwhelms him.
