Free for the night. That does get his attention and he glances up. Brows furrowed, he makes sure to keep petting Irvin. He's wary of Jade, not of the dog, after all. No need to scare him. That's what he tells himself, knowing without the support of the touch, he would be the one freaking out, not Irvin.
