As the seconds trickle by and Shinjirou continues to kneel, his begging wordless but no less obvious despite that, Jade allows himself to feel triumph. Shinjirou had finally submitted to him, in full faculty of reason. It's a turning point, and a vital one, one there was no going back from.
Nevertheless, his victory is tainted by a hint of unease - this is a heavy responsibility, he's being entrusted with the keeping of Shinjirou's body and his mind. But Jade pushes his feelings aside. Neither of them have any choice; he'll simply have to do the best he can.
