The market is, objectively speaking, a miserable place. Precious few of the merchandise are happy to be there, nude and bound and collared - sometimes even caged - free for every prospective customer to examine. Few of the customers are happy either. Prices are high, and the press of so many bodies create a stifling atmosphere.
All in all, it is exactly what Jade had expected. He strolls leisurely through the market, not particularly bothered by what is going on around him. It was one of the reasons he had been chosen for this assignment. Today is his first day at the market; he's meant to speak with the vendors, make connections, and walk away with a cheap but handy acquisition.
He's working on the last part now. It's surprisingly difficult to find someone useful and docile, but still with some spirit left - he does not trust the older slaves who are complacent with the system.
It's during his second time looping through the market that someone catches his eye - for all the wrong reasons. He stops, stares at the familiar figure in front of him, an uncharacteristically surprised expression flashing over his face.
Then he's smiling again. He's still unsure if this is a good turn of events, but perhaps he could use this to his advantage.
"My my, I didn't expect to see you here."

He glances at Irvin then, the dog tilting his head and barking at him. Irvin looks perfectly innocent like this. A good, loyal pet. Gasping for air, Shinjirou closes his eyes. "And ... and I think he's tired."
no subject
"Ah well. At least you satisfied him properly once." Jade had been matching his breathing with Shinjirou, but the sudden gasp throws him off. He must be ready for more stimulation. Slowly, Jade increases his pace, until his hand is moving in brisk, businesslike movements. "Perhaps he'd like to have you again tomorrow. Though I hear one mating is generally sufficient for dogs."
no subject
"I'll be there for anyone." It's a dangerous thing to say, but at the moment it doesn't leave a sour taste in his mouth. With a groan and a sharp thrust forward, he comes. Head of his cock pushing into Jade's palm, he spills more onto Jade's hand than onto the ground.
no subject
Only then does he let go, wiping his hand on Shinjirou's back with a seemingly careless gesture. In reality, he's carefully avoiding the cuts from yesterday.
"I'll consider that a promise." He finally replies, minutes after Shinjirou had spoken. Wiping his hand one last time, he stands, overcome by a sudden, very urgent desire to be alone.
"I'm going to shower. You can have your turn once you've finished taking care of your mess."
no subject
Slowly he sits up, hugging himself. "Yes." He wants to take a shower right now, he doesn't want to clean the floor, and he doesn't understand why it needs to be this way around. But he doesn't question it. Maybe that's a good thing, maybe it means he's learning. He can accept what Jade asks of him. In the end, what Shinjirou wants is to follow. What he knows very well is, after all, that his own decisions are rarely good.
"Thank you." His movements are sluggish, but he pushes himself up to his feet successfully. Gravity drags Irvin's seed down his legs, a very strong reminder of what has recently happened here. He'll need to ignore that in favor of cleaning up and it seems like a good idea to get to work right away.
no subject
But he supposes that he can make some allowances. Leaving immediately afterwards is cruel, isn't it, with the way Shinjirou gets so needy after sex.
"Wait." He can't bring himself to be kind and caring, not when he wants time alone, so practicality will have to do. "Go wipe yourself off first. Otherwise, you'll just be dirtying the floor while you clean."
Jade wants to look away - at the television, at the door, anywhere but the come that continues to trickle steadily out of Shinjirou. But he forces his eyes to stay trained on him. This is his doing, and Jade has never been one to turn away from the consequences of his actions.

Walking off towards the bathroom, he makes sure he isn't dribbling on the floor. This isn't the right time to work slowly and so he takes a washcloth to the sink, rubbing the come off his thighs, back and cock, and finally his ass. There he flinches; the skin's irritated. It burns, badly, but hurrying only hurts worse. He doesn't have another option, though. Clenching his teeth, he gets the job done.
The truly bad part starts when he attempts to wash the come off the cloth. Dry-heaving, he shuts his eyes and squeezes the cloth until his knuckles turn white. He got fucked by a dog and the result is in his hands. On his hips marks sting, left by Irvin's claws. Breathe, he thinks -- and he breathes, once, twice.
It's not that he let it happen, it's knowing that he'll let it happen again that turns his stomach.

Disgust is the obvious one, directed at himself. Guilt. Shame. Regret at the necessity of forcing Shinjirou into this situation, and needing to do so again in the future.
There's something else that coils hot and tight inside him, but Jade can't place it.
But it's enough for now. There's no other way he can continue his work without also continuing to break Shinjirou in, but perhaps he could use less extreme methods next time. Still, Shinjirou had seemed to enjoy himself, so perhaps that made it...not so bad.
Jade rubs at his temples, annoyed by the way he kept falling back on the same tired old excuses. Hopefully, Shinjirou will be done in the bathroom soon. He needs to immerse himself in the hot spray of the shower and ponder over his next course of action in relative privacy.

What dishes he could make for them, all the tasks he'll need to get to tomorrow morning before they leave; how he should behave with Jade right beside him, outside of this comfortable jail. These thoughts keep him busy while he's cleaning and even a little while after he's done. Even better, they keep him awake. He really doesn't want to fall asleep before washing himself thoroughly and reaching the safety of his futon.
no subject
It's only a few minutes before he steps out again, in his pyjamas and towelling his hair dry.
"Your turn," he announces, matter-of-fact. "I need to get back to work. The rest of the night is yours, but don't forget we're going out tomorrow."
Although it seems likely that Shinjirou plans on sleeping things off.
no subject
None of that makes him feel less dirty than before. Looking at himself in the mirror, all the signs are still there. Marks of a whip, claws -- the bruises, some of them beginning to fade. He hesitates for a brief moment, then opens the cupboard and puts salve on his wounds. Nurturing them is pointless when there'll be new ones added each and every day.
After that, he does feel better. He can't quite explain why, but he curls up beneath the blanket a short while later, falling into a deep sleep without a problem.

Irvin greets them happily as they exit the bedroom, rubbing against Shinjirou's legs, only to whine in disappointment when Jade shoos him off and shuts the garage door behind him.
Jade doesn't start discussing the day's itinerary until they're in the car and on their way.
"We'll get you new clothes first, and proper shoes. We can have lunch afterwards. Then I suppose we can head home, unless there's anything you want to buy?"
no subject
"Uh. No. I mean -- I don't have any money, so that's kind of a stupid question." Sinking into the seat, he lets his head hit the back rest. "I wouldn't wanna buy anything even if I did."
He pulls his shoulders up, toying with collar of his jacket. The chain's cold where it lies pressed against his skin, but that's definitely better than having it out in the open. "So what are you going to tell people that side-eye a guy your age going shopping with someone that should be at school?"
no subject
Though honestly speaking, Jade doesn't much care. To the rest of the world, they should look like consenting adults; it's none of anyone's business. It doesn't matter that the reality is different, casual observers shouldn't be able to tell the difference. Unless...
He shoots a sidelong glance at Shinjirou. "Of course, if you keep fidgeting like that, they'll probably be suspicious."
no subject
Staring out of the window, he attempts to talk himself into believing it, too: Jade's just a family friend. Unfortunately, the family part is where his belief crashes and burns. He doesn't have any parents, never had any and the only person he'd consider family is Aki. Thinking of Aki just makes him shuffle again.
"Your stuff's uncomfortable, that's all." It's not even an outright lie. This isn't what he normally wears; the only quality item of clothing was his coat and the only reason for owning that was to keep him warm out on the streets. "We're not going to get more like this, right? Looks stupid on me."
no subject
"Though I don't see why it matters. You don't spend much time clothed." Perhaps he could get some casual clothes for Shinjirou's grocery runs, but for now, Jade doesn't see the need. He may have money, but there's no reason to spend it all at once.
no subject
"Makes me feel awkward." He stretches out, trying to relax a bit. "And don't you dare give me a haircut."
no subject
no subject
"I'm going to bite the hairdresser."
no subject
"I could order you to be good." He's still smiling.
no subject
Sitting up straight again, he tries to mentally prepare himself for getting out of the car. He's talking nonsense, he knows, and it's a pretty pathetic rebellion, too, but it's hard to stop now. "You can't just tug at the chain or whatever if I don't do as you say."
no subject
"Now that we're out in public, no I can't," he agrees placidly. "I suppose I'll just have to hold your hand instead."
no subject
He spends the rest of the time cringing. It's easier to deal with bruises and cuts, in Shinjirou's opinion. Just sweetly holding hands in public ... his palms are sweaty and uncomfortably hot thanks to just the threat of it. Wiping it off on his pants, he silently prays this will be over soon.
no subject
"Let's get started."
no subject
"Yeah, let's." Actually, he doesn't wait for Jade to lead the way; however, he's nice enough to wait at the entrance.
